Tradition, Devotion
and Artistry
Aranmula is a heritage temple village in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala, gracefully situated along the sacred banks of the Pamba River. The town is spiritually centered around the ancient Aranmula Parthasarathy Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna as Parthasarathy, the divine charioteer of Arjuna in the Mahabharata. Recognized as one of the 108 Divya Desams, the temple holds immense importance in the Vaishnavite tradition.
Aranmula is internationally renowned for the sacred Aranmula Uthrattathi Vallamkali, a devotional river festival held during Onam. The town also plays a significant role in the annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala through the Thiruvabharanam procession, and is celebrated for the handcrafted Aranmula Kannadi metal mirror, temple architecture, ritual traditions, river festivals, and fine artistry.
